This is the 1st ASR lecture with In-seong Hwang 8 Dan EGF which took place in the Advanced Study Room on KGS.

In the first part of the video, he gives four opening ideas; about finding urgent moves, which is most important in Go, how to use influence, what to do when your opponent approaches your corner and how to threaten the life base of opponent’s groups. Then the second part focus on attacking; how to drive your opponent’s weak group and how to use your stones around a weak group All along with practical examples which illustrate clearly the concepts, but also with philosophical ones from The Art of War” by Sun Tzu for instance, you will develop global understanding of the game and learn many shapes and tesujis.
